In 2012 Eran Elhaik’s study paper was published (see below). Dr Alhaik, an Israeli born population, medical, and evolutionary geneticist, performed research at Johns Hopkins then the University of Sheffield. As Dr Alhaik has stated repeatedly in interviews through the ensuing years, “there is no Jewish DNA”. Jewishness, as it should be, is defined by Judaism, a philosophy and then religion, a construct. Abraham Joshua Heschel tried very hard to make people understand that, “Israel is a people, not a land”. There is no blood test for Jewishness, just as there’s no blood test for Catholicism, Protestantism, Islam, Buddhism; and there’s no blood test for semitic, as it is a label applied to peoples (tribes) of the Middle East who spoke a common “semitic” language. This applies to Arabs and all others who speak a semitic language as there primary language, mostly Arabic and Hebrew (Yiddish being a very European and different dialect — just because you “hach” when you say it, doesn’t make it Hebrew).
Scientists usually don’t call each other “liars” and “frauds.”
But that’s how Johns Hopkins University post-doctoral researcher Eran Elhaik describes a group of widely respected geneticists, including Harry Ostrer, professor of pathology and genetics at Yeshiva University’s Albert Einstein College of Medicine and author of the 2012 book “Legacy: A Genetic History of the Jewish People.”
For years now, the findings of Ostrer and several other scientists have stood virtually unchallenged on the genetics of Jews and the story they tell of the common Middle East origins shared by many Jewish populations worldwide. Jews — and Ashkenazim in particular — are indeed one people, Ostrer’s research finds.
It’s a theory that more or less affirms the understanding that many Jews themselves hold of who they are in the world: a people who, though scattered, share an ethnic-racial bond rooted in their common ancestral descent from the indigenous Jews of ancient Judea…
But now, Elhaik, an Israeli molecular geneticist, has published research that he says debunks this claim. And that has set off a predictable clash.
His motivation has always been righteous. He has repeatedly stated that his motivation is medical in order to help people with genetic disease by giving more accurate information to colleagues working on genetic diseases.
Dr Alhaik asked himself, and applied this question for his studies, “Did contemporary Jews descend from the ancient Israelites, as the primordialists claim? Or did they descend from people who converted to Judaism and only later on adopted nationalist ideas as the constructivist camp argues?“
The findings are conclusive and have been repeatedly and successfully defended: Jews are not a “race”.
The newest DNA science finding is from Dr. Eran Elhaik and associates at the McKusick-Nathans Institute of Genetic Medicine, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. In research accepted December 5, 2012 and published by the Oxford University Press on behalf of the Society of Molecular Biology and Evolution, it was found that the “Khazarian Hypothesis” is scientifically correct.
What exactly is the “Khazarian Hypothesis?” Simply stated, it holds that the Jewry genome is a mosaic of ancestries which rise primarily out of the Khazars.
Jews are Khazars, not Israelites.
The “Jews” of America, Europe, and Israel are descendants, not of Father Abraham, but of King Bulan and the people of ancient Khazaria. Khazaria was an amalgam of Turkic clans who once lived in the Caucasus (Southern Russia) in the early centuries CE. These Turkic peoples were pagans who converted to Judaism in the eighth century. As converts, they called themselves “Jews,” but none of their blood comes from Israel.
Later, the “Jews” (Khazars) emigrated, settling in Russia, Hungary, Poland, Germany, and elsewhere in Europe. As “Jews,” the Khazars then left the European nations in 1948 and settled the fledgling, new “nation” of Israel.
The people of Israel are not the seed, nor the ancestors, of Abraham. They call themselves “Jews,” but in fact, DNA science shows them to be Khazars. They say they are “Jew,” but they are not.
“There are no blood or family connections among the Jews,” said Dr. Elhaik in an interview with Haaretz, Israel’s daily newspaper. “The various groups of Jews in the world today do not share a common genetic origin. Their genome is largely Khazar.”
Thus, when Prime Minister Netanyahu says, “God gave this land to our Israelite forefathers,” he is absolutely wrong. There are no Israelite forefathers of today’s “Jews.” When today’s “Jews” say they should possess the land because they are Israelites and are the seed of Abraham, they are mistaken.
Elhaik’s research confirms earlier DNA studies, especially the work of Dr. Ariella Oppenheim of Hebrew University, who likewise found, in 2001, that the “Jews” came from the Khazars rather than the Israelites. Dr. Oppenheim even found that some of the Palestinians have the chromosomes proving they are “Cohen,” related to the ancient Israelites who worked in the Synagogue and Temple.

Interestingly, 97.5% of Jews in Israel have absolutely NO Israelite DNA, while 80% of Palestinians have ancient Israelite DNA, and the highest content is in Yemenis who are obviously opposed to the Zionist regime.
In “The Missing Link of Jewish European Ancestry: Contrasting the Rhineland and the Khazarian Hypotheses,” published in December in the online journal Genome Biology and Evolution, Elhaik says he has proved that Ashkenazi Jews’ roots lie in the Caucasus — a region at the border of Europe and Asia that lies between the Black and Caspian seas — not in the Middle East. They are descendants, he argues, of the Khazars, a Turkic people who lived in one of the largest medieval states in Eurasia and then migrated to Eastern Europe in the 12th and 13th centuries. Ashkenazi genes, Elhaik added, are far more heterogeneous than Ostrer and other proponents of the Rhineland Hypothesis believe. Elhaik did find a Middle Eastern genetic marker in DNA from Jews, but, he says, it could be from Iran, not ancient Judea.
Elhaik writes that the Khazars converted to Judaism in the eighth century, although many historians believe that only royalty and some members of the aristocracy converted. But widespread conversion by the Khazars is the only way to explain the ballooning of the European Jewish population to 8 million at the beginning of the 20th century from its tiny base in the Middle Ages, Elhaik says. Religiously, this places lies severally upon Jewish, Christian, and Islamic religious text “history”. Philosophically this strengthens that aspect of those religions that support a social contract.
Israelis are claiming ancient blood completely thumbing their nose at Avagadro’s Law and the most serious science (Jews are almost exclusively European). Zionists are not "focused on Jewishness", and they are not focused on Judaism, they are focused on political Zionism and power and theft. Zionists are secular, including rabbis who praise Hitler (https://seangriobhtha.substack.com/p/dear-zionist). The term Secular Jew is oxymoronic, a thing that cannot exist. Jews focus on Judaism, not the false use of biblical texts to support political Zionism. As Abraham Joshua Heschel so eloquently stated, "Israel is a people, not a land." If you want to "be a light unto the world", why bring death, darkness, and destruction? As the Jewish protesters' signs proclaim, "Judaism is opposed to Zionism and the Israeli state."

Lovin’ this! Further evidence, if any was needed, that “Israel” is just another exercise in the European colonialist tradition, and that finally, once and for all, we can put an end to this bullshit.
Good to see scientific evidence for supporting the historical work of Shlomo Sand (“The Invention of the Jewish People” and “The Invention of the Land of Israel”). As Sand remarked there is no evidence that the ancient Hebrews were expelled en masse from Palestine after the revolts of the first and second centuries CE. He further hypothesized that most people today who identify as Jews are descendants of converts from various parts of the World. As a retort to zionism I like to imagine if some Buddhists decided that Bihar State in India, where the Buddha lived and taught 2,500 years ago, was their homeland and they had the divine right to expel the Hindus, Muslims and Christians now living there. Of course that would be seen as absurd.
